Structured Analysis and Design
who: Systems analysts, programmer analysts and programmers
what: This comprehensive skills-based course covers the concepts, methodologies, techniques, tools and perspectives essential for systems analysts to successfully develop information systems. The systems development life cycle (SDLC) model is used as an organizing tool throughout the course to provide participants with a strong conceptual and systematic framework. This SDLC uses a circular design instead of the old “waterfall” design.
The course emphasizes the following:
• A business, rather than a technology, perspective
• The roles, responsibilities and mindset of the systems analyst as well as the systems project manager
• The methods and principles of systems development
where: Onsite
why: Following a process and conducting a rigorous analysis determination is critical if you are to develop quality systems.
