who: These workshops are designed for both IT and non-IT personnel who have (or soon will have) project management or supervisory responsibility. Also, project managers and others who need to communicate effectively with people in a workplace environment.
what: Effective Project Communications Workshop
This one-day workshop covers: Identifying project communications, selecting the right means of communication, developing effective messages, project reporting and feedback, increasing meeting effectiveness, and project conflict.
Project Management & Control
This four-day workshop covers project management concepts and definitions; project participant roles and responsibilities; the project life cycle; project planning and deliverables; issues and techniques in project control; change management and project scope; as well all elements from project charter to project completion.
Since 1994, Dr. Colson has been a consultant in the areas of training and project management to information technology, consulting, and pharmaceutical firms, as well as to government agencies. Projects have included: directing the work of a four-person team that completely revised and produced a 23-course curriculum for the U. S. Army in 7 weeks; developing materials for Year 2000 remediation and testing projects for major international consulting and pharmaceutical firms; and numerous seminars on Project Management & Control to a variety of organizations, including the tax consulting practice of a “big five” accounting firm.
